Had to abandon a round today due to the clubs slipping 'n' sliding in my
hands.
Does anyone have a tried and tested type, make, of glove that you use?
Perhaps it's a glove that is not specifically designed for golf.

The ones I have had most success with are Marigolds. Nothing slips. I no
longer play in the rain though!

I don't know what make they are, but I have a pair of gloves (you need
one on each hand), which are designed to be used wet. Clubs don't slip
in my hands and I don't need to keep the grips dry. I bought them in a
golf shop, they are definitely designed to be used for golf.

The disadvantage is that your hands are always wet, so they can be too
cold to use in winter.

That was my experience, too.

I use gloves only in winter. Heat will lead to sweat-wet hands in gloves,
rain sucks - ehm - soaks gloves.

Best thing for me is to have one or two small towels with me to dry my
hands and the grips. I use them als rain protection, too.

Fortunately, my putting is not affected by wet grips or fingers ;->

Ciao,

Paul
